Virtual Business Film SeriesWe can’t spend all of our classroom time watching movies, but there are many good films that have a lot to say about business and can be useful learning tools. Therefore, welcome to the Virtual Business Film Series, which you can complete outside of class.
Here’s how it works:
|
- You can potentially earn up to 10 points of extra credit (papers are graded on merit; low quality earns less credit)
- Papers should be double-spaced, use 12-point font, and total 2- to 3-pages in length.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
How many films can I watch/papers can I submit?
You can watch all of the films! But, you can only submit a maximum of FOUR papers for extra credit per semester.
When are the reflection papers due?
Papers are accepted on an ongoing basis throughout the semester.
Where do I submit my reflection paper?
Email your reflection paper to [email protected]. Be sure to include: Your name, which class you are enrolled in, and the name of the film you are writing about.
What if I am enrolled in two of your classes? Where do I get the credit?
I will temporarily award the credit in a randomly chosen class in which you are enrolled (frankly, whichever one I see your name in first). At the end of the semester, I will consider which class you need extra credit in more urgently and shift points accordingly. I can also split points between the two (or more) classes. Whichever serves you most beneficially will be how points are assigned.

degree, certificate, OSA checkDid you know that you may have already earned an Occupational Skills Award (OSA), Certificate, or might be just a class or two away from earning both? Unfortunately, there is no system what you have earned from a College. Even if you are working to earn an Associate's degree, YOU have to ask the College for it when you think you have completed all of the requirements! So, why not check and see where you stand? It doesn't hurt, and lots have students have been pleasantly surprised with the results they receive.
