Junior Academy of Entrepreneurship

The Junior Academy is a five-year entrepreneurship pathway program that begins working with eighth grade students in area middle schools, and nurtures their entrepreneurship spirits through their four years of high school and beyond. There is no cost for middle schools to participate in the eighth grade capstone project or regional competition at Saddleback College.

- Developing mini-business plans in eighth grade as a capstone course project
- Competing in school wide and regional business plan fast-pitch competitions
- Participating in events, workshops, boot camps, speakers' series and other valuable events hosted by the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Learning Center.
- Completing articulated, college-level courses at their home high school
- Earning an Occupational Skills Award (low-credit certificate) or a full certificate before they even graduate high school.
- Strengthening their college applications with completed, transferable college courses, or getting a jump start on launching a real-world business endeavor by continuing their entrepreneurship education at Saddleback College.
